Moulder Resigns

Oconee County is now looking for a candidate to fill its top position. Tuesday night, eight-year County Administrator Scott Moulder submitted his resignation to the Oconee County Council. Council Chair Edda Cammick made the motion. “I would like to make a motion to accept Mr. Moulder’s resignation and seek the appointment of an interim in his place based on the condition as discussed in executive session.” That motion was approved unanimously. Councilman Paul Cain then thanked Moulder for his service to the county. “I would just like to thank Mr. Moulder for his years of service. You’ve been the best administrator that this county has ever had, without question and it has been an absolute pleasure for me to work with you. I hate to see you go, but I do understand the environment and I know what you have been going through. I wish you the absolute best in your future endeavors and I know you are going to do an excellent job wherever you end up.” Similar praise was made by Councilman Julian Davis. “I would like to echo Mr. Cain’s statements and thank you for what you have done for this county; what you have brought into it and your family, thank you. It is sometime difficult to do the job that you do on a daily basis and your time is to be well commended, thank you.” The Oconee County Council plans to appoint an interim administrator soon.
