Mobile home fire west of Walhalla

A fire that destroyed an abandoned mobile home near Walhalla is being investigated. Chief Burton of the Walhalla Fire Department says the fire was discovered early Friday afternoon on SC 28/the Highlands Highway, near Frasier’s General Store. At the time, the abandoned mobile home was in the process of being demolished. Burton says anyone who can shed light on why this fire occurred is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
