Mixed news on the U-S (and SC) COVID front

According to reports, the number of U-S deaths from COVID-19 has fallen to their lowest level since March 2020, the first known month of the world pandemic.  But, in South Carolina, the number of deaths went from four on Tuesday to 10 on Wednesday–the latest two days for which numbers are available.  The newest South Carolina DHEC report confirmed 119 new cases, five in Oconee County.  Of 8,071 deaths, the positivity across the state:  2.1%.
