Miriam Estelle Anderson Holbrooks

Seneca – Mrs. Miriam Estelle Anderson Holbrooks, 93, wife of the late Lester Curtis Holbrooks, Sr., passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at her residence.

 

Born in Greenwood, SC, Miriam was the daughter of the late Thomas Eugene Anderson and Mary Jordan Anderson.  Miriam retired from the weaving department of Abney Mills and was a member of Mt. Vernon Holiness Church.   Miriam loved the beach, shopping and cooking.

 

Miriam is survived by daughters, Judy King, Jean Winkler (Ralph), Becky Davis (Mike), Linda Thompson (Harrison), Nancy Flowers, Marlene Hunnicutt (Edward); grandchildren, Bryian King (Michelle), Stacey Winkler, Tracey Johnson (Joe), Shelly Wyman, Kelly Jordan, Tonya Shook, Guy Bradley Shook, Crystal Barnhill, Laura Green, Amanda Patterson (Adrian), Jason Patterson, Kerrie Patterson (Sherry), Jennifer Hunnicutt, Tiffany Thompson, Stacey Thompson, and Rashad Thompson; great-grandchildren, Dakota King, Austin King, David King, Sharon Nicholson, James Iseli, Paige Johnson, Madison Thompson, Alexis Johnson, Destiny Green, Emily Green, Kayla Roberts, Jacob Swain, Austin Shook, Aaron Gunn, Emily Burrell, Brianna Simmons, Cameron Blassingame, Ethan Simmons, Zi Walker, Vaeh Walker, Daniel Eller, Bradley Eller,  Austin Eller, Savannah Grogan, Hunter Powers,  Jada Robinson, Jaden Robinson; 10 great-great grandchildren; and caregiver, Dianna Shepherd. Miriam was the last surviving member of her family.

 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Miriam is preceded in death by her son, Lester Curtis Holbrooks, Jr.; sons-in-law, Billy King and Gary Flowers.

 

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Courtney Cemetery.   The family will receive friends and family from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm prior to the service.
