Westminster– Milton Lewis Chapman, 86, husband of Linda Carver Chapman, passed away on Thursday, June 16th, 2022 at Prisma Health – Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Milton was the son of the late Samuel Elisha Chapman and Livia Mae Mize Chapman. Milton retired from Duke Power after 35 years of service as an I & E Technician and was a faithful member and deacon of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Milton enjoyed singing, college sports and his greatest joy and love was his family.
Milton is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years; his son, Shane Chapman; granddaughter, Morgan Chapman; brothers, Charles Chapman, Henry Chapman; sisters, Shirley Long, Linda Vaughn, Betty Knapp, and Irene Green.
In addition to his parents, Milton is preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Chapman; and sisters, Clara Baird and Gladys Powell.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, June 20, 2022 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
