Michael Lawson Adams
Seneca, SC– Michael Lawson Adams, 65, of Seneca, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at his home.
A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Adams was the son of the late Ira Lawson Adams, Jr. and Susie Knight Adams. He retired from Duke Energy as a financial analyst. Mr. Adams was a mason and a member of the York Rite Lodge #385 and Hejaz Shrine. He was also a member and elder of Open Door Baptist Church.
Mike enjoyed golf and bowling. He was a member of “Joe’s Team” in bowling. He was also a member of multiple singing groups, from gospel to The ONSTARZ, which sang Oldies. He was a Clemson University graduate and was the Clemson Tigers’ biggest fan. Go Tigers!
Mr. Adams is survived by his daughter: Jordan Adams (Sam Williams); brother: Ira “Ike” Adams (Sammy); grandchild: Pyper Williams; cousins: Danny Armstrong (Sandy), Hal Carter (Anna), Billy Adams, Brian Adams, and Mary Adams; nephews: Boyce Adams (Ginger) and Reid Adams (Lucas) and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Open Door Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, September 2, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home.
