Michael “Catfish” Bitner

Seneca – Michael “Catfish” Eugene Bitner, 57, husband of Andrea Dee Nelson Bitner, passed away Friday, January 27^th, 2023 at Prisma Health – Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

Born in Mason County, Illinois, Michael was the son of the late Clyde Eugene Bitner and Elizabeth Ann Gordon Bitner.  Michael was a former cab driver for Tarheel Taxi, a United States Marine Corps veteran, of the Christian Faith and he enjoyed catfishing.

 

Michael is survived by his wife; sons, Shawn Hume, Shane Bitner, Scott Bitner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his brother.

 

No formal service will be held.
