Meth trafficking alleged on rural road near Salem

A car driver near Salem whose vehicle displayed no license plate wound up in worse trouble when stopped Sunday by an Oconee County deputy.  According to the sheriff’s office, the traffic stop resulted in the charge of trafficking in methamphetamine against driver Keith Allen Alexander Jr. of the N. Little River Road.  Additionally, 25-year old Alexander received citations for driving under suspension, failure to register a motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, and open container. Yesterday, Alexander remained jailed under a surety bond of $25 thousand.
