Member cities hear their new sewer charges

The Oconee municipalities who make up the membership of the Joint Regional Sewer Authority know their user fee costs for the next year. They were announced last night during the consideration of the JRSA’s near $4.6 million budget for the government year that starts July 1. By percentages, the sharing of costs for handling the flows to the Coneross Wastewater Treatment Plant were announced by JRSA executive director Chris Eleazer. The burden falls this way: Seneca’s share will amount to 62.99%; Walhalla’s 18.95%; and Westminster’s 18.069%.
