Melinda Dianne Marcengill

Westminster – Melinda Dianne Marcengill, 67, passed away on Wednesday, March, 20^th, 2024, at Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital.

 

Born May 1^st, 1956, in Oconee County, South Carolina, Dianne was the daughter of Gladys Suttles Marcengill Dover and the late Gilbert N. Marcengill. Dainne was a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University, and later received her Masters from Clemson University, she was also a graduate of Anderson College. Dainne was known for her love and devotion of her many students, animals, and was an avid reader. Dianne was a retired school teacher with the Oconee County School District having worked at Keowee Elementary, Westminster Elementary and Westminster Middle School. Dianne was the owner and operator of Echelon Fashion a clothing store in Walhalla, a vice chair member of the Oconee County Republican Party and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church #2.

 

Dianne is survived her mother, Gladys Suttles Marcengill Dover; a sister, Deborah M. Hicks of Marietta, Georgia; nephew, Garrett Hicks of Marietta, Georgia.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 28^th, 2024 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Rider Mountain Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 28^th, 2024 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
