McCall welcomes Latino community leaders

The 2020 census will show to what extent the Latino community is growing in Oconee County. One county council member doesn’t need the latest population numbers to know and recognize that Latinos are beginning to take their place and exert their influence in community affairs. To last night’s council meeting, Wayne McCall welcomed a handful of Latinos and said, “These people here tonight are all prominent leaders, not citizens, but leaders in the community.”
