Mayor draws some encouragement

From a conference call with the board of the South Carolina Municipal Association, one Oconee mayor learned some bad news, but he also drew encouragement from what he heard.  First, Westminster Mayor Brian Ramey was saddened to hear about the plight of South Carolina’s great tourism industry.  Specifically, to hear that the tourist places on the coast that literally have shut down operations to prevent outsiders from vacationing and, potentially, further exposing South Carolinians to COVID-19.  The encouragement Ramey drew, however, is that he’s convinced that government in general and the health profession, in particular, are doing all they can to bring the virus under control.
