Mary Ann Prater Cole
Westminster- Mary Ann Prater Cole, 82, wife of the late James Edwin Cole, passed away May 21, 2020 at Prisma Cottingham Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Oconee, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie A. Prater and Ruby Mae Pritchard Prater. Mary Ann was the owner of Mary Ann’s Bakery where she was known for decorating many cakes. Mary Ann was a faithful member of Westminster First Baptist Church where she attended for over fifty years.
Mary Ann is survived by her sons, Danny Cole and the late Judy of Seneca, Anthony Cole of Oakway, and Timothy Cole of Westminster; daughters, Mary Williams and Doug of Westminster, and Tammy Provost and Artie of Mountain Rest; sisters, Barbara Jean Honea of Seneca and Edna Louise Spearman of West Union; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Keith Howard Prater, William Alton Prater, George Ralph Prater, and Julian Parker Prater; sister, Donna Lou Prater.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 24th, at Heritage Memorial Gardens. In lieu of a formal visitation, you may drop by Sandifer Funeral Home on Saturday, May 23rd, 2020 between the hours of 1pm – 4pm to pay your respects and sign the register book.
