Marines to reach Lake Keowee’s shores

Oconee County’s annual thank you to the Wounded Warriors will take place next week.  It’s an annual few days of rest-and-relaxation for Marines and other military personnel.  Once again, the town  of Salem will play a part by hosting a breakfast for the military personnel.  The town’s Marti Jennings says the breakfast is for the Wounded Warriors only, but the public can show their gratitude by lining Salem’s Main Street and waving flags on Wednesday morning, June 19.  The Wounded Warriors’ breakfast at the Community Center will likely finish by 8:45 that morning, so that’s the time that Salem hopes people will be in place on street side.
