Margaret “Marty” Ellen Gauger Bruehl

Seneca- Margaret “Marty” Ellen Gauger Bruehl, 85, wife of William “Bill” Justice Bruehl, passed away September 26, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Ann Fowler Gauger and George Gauger.  Marty was a former 2nd Grade Teacher and was a former Conflict Consultant with the Alban Institute for twenty-five years. She was listed in Who’s Who Among American Women, was a volunteer with Cottingham Hospice House, and was co-author of Managing Conflict – by Pneumann & Bruehl.  Marty was also a gourmet cook, photographic artist, wicked card player, poet, and was a world traveler. 

 

Marty is survived by her husband of 65 years, who is also a writer, William; daughters, Amelia Kroes-Bruehl (Jacobus) of Millingen aan de Rijn, Netherlands and Alexandra Ann Kaufman (Michael) of Aptos, CA; brother, William Gauger of Kansas; sister, Lynn Schmidt of Pottstown, PA; grandsons, Liam and Sean Kroes; and grandcat, Neo.

 

A private burial service will be held at Ramsey Creek Preserve, with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
