MARGARET FRENCH
Seneca- Margaret “Peg” Elizabeth Sheehan French, 85, wife of the late Eugene French, passed away Tuesday, October 25th, 2022 at Prisma Health – Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Dover, New Jersey, and lived a lot of her life in Union, New Jersey, Peg was the daughter of the late Timothy Sheehan and Sarah Laverty Sheehan. Peg was a retired realtor and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Peg was never one to be idle, she enjoyed gardening, hosting, cooking, and swimming in the lake, and her greatest joy was being a grandma.
Peg is survived by her partner of 36 years, John Swenson; son, Timothy French (Mary Kay); daughter, Karen Rowe (Gary); sisters, Kathy Cook, and Rose Debeau; and grandchildren, Emily Rowe, Sarah Rowe, Kenny French, Matthew French; and a very special niece who she loved like a daughter, Cindy Kennedy, and her daughter Colleen.
In addition to her husband and parents, Peg was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Sheehan.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
