MARGARET BROOME
Seneca – Margaret Spearman Broome, 95, wife of the late Talford Broome, passed away Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at her residence.
Born on July 8th, 1928, in Oconee County, South Carolina, to the late Carl L. and Pauline Craig Spearman. Margaret was an active member of Mt Pleasant Baptist Church where she served as a bible school director, WMU director, treasurer, and choir member and was known for her chocolate fudge cookie recipe.
Margaret is survived by daughters, Kathy Moss of Seneca, Connie Covone of Anderson; grandchildren, Dr. Jason Moss (Tina), Gabe Covone (Jennifer); and eleven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild due in November.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret is preceded in death by brothers, Jack Spearman, Rev. Bob Spearman, and Larry Spearman; sisters, Helen Herring, Mildred Crowder, Grace King, and Betty Holbrooks; son-in-law, Rev. Joe Moss; and grandchildren, Joey Moss, Grant Covone.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, prior to the service, on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
