“Marching Thru History” theme for Veteran’s Parade

A weeklong November celebration of veterans will start with a Veteran’s parade in Clemson.  The Clemson Area African American Museum parade theme “Marching Thru History” will focus on the contributions of African American veterans while celebrating and appreciating the service of all veterans.  The parade at 3 pm Sunday, November 5 will follow a route starting on Church Street in Clemson and ending at the museum.  There will be no automobiles allowed in the parade, except for military vehicles and those transporting veterans who have mobility issues.  Other events that week include a panel discussion featuring African American vets discussing their military experience, and a celebration of African American military women.  Parade registration forms may be obtained and submitted at the museum, 214 Butler Street, Clemson.  Deadline to register is October 6.
