Mann Luke “ML” McGuffin Jr.

Westminster – Mann Luke “ML” McGuffin, Jr., 92, husband of the late Gwendolyn Leatherwood McGuffin, passed away Saturday, December 24th, 2022 at Oconee Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

 

   Born August 28th, 1930, in Oconee County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Mann Luke McGuffin, Sr. and Kate Cox McGuffin. ML was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and the owner of Pete’s Drive-In for 30 years. He was a 50 year member of the Westminster Masonic Lodge #200 and a member of the Westminster First Baptist Church.

 

   Survivors include his sister, Martha Ann Hall (Woodie) of Florida, his children, Mike McGuffin (Teresa), Monty McGuffin (Janet), Lane McGuffin (Kay), Cindy McGuffin, Patrick Rudy “Bo” Ruggiero; Grandchildren, Shane McGuffin (Sherry), Christopher McGuffin (Shanice), Lynette Turner (Jeff), Philip Hopkins (Cyndi), Carrie Massey (Michael); Great-grandchildren, Luke, Cole, Crew McGuffin, Abby Turner, Gavin and Thomas Hopkins, Lillian and Micah Massey.

 

   In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Tanya Gwen McGuffin; a sister, Mildred Nix and brothers, Broadus McGuffin, Bobby McGuffin, Joe McGuffin, Ernest McGuffin, Fred McGuffin, Bruce McGuffin.

 

   A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, at Sandifer Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Owen officiating, with Military Honors and Masonic Rites, with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, December 27th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
