Man arrested after two Oconee County investigations

A 22-year old man has been arrested after two investigations conducted by county sheriff’s officers near Westminster.  Law enforcement authority reports spell out charges of stolen vehicle and methamphetamine against Jonathan Nolan Lee Ivester.  An arrest warrant accuses Ivester in an investigation of a Toyota automobile that, according to the sheriff’s office, was reported stolen in Georgia.  According to a sheriff’s sergeant, Ivester drove the Toyota that was involved in an August 25 collision on the Dr. John’s Road.  Three occupants of a second car involved in the accident were taken to the hospital.  A separate investigation four days later resulted in a distribution of meth charge against Ivester.  In that arrest warrant, Ivester is accused of possessing nearly four grams of meth four days later on the Tabor Ramp Road.  A sheriff’s officer said he identified Ivester as the occupant of a tent inside an abandoned house without power hookup.
