Make a day of it (safely) Saturday in Walhalla

The tradition of a parade on Walhalla’s Main Street will be carried out Saturday evening, in ways to help avoid anyone catching or spreading COVID-19.  Parade time will be 5 o’clock.  Here are some things to know before you go.  This year no candy will be distributed, as parade watchers are requested to keep safe distance from the procession.  This is to keep down the potential that someone might pass an un-sanitized item.  In keeping with state requirements, masks are required for all who gather 250 or more.  Masks are to be available for those without them.  If anyone in your group or household does not feel well, please stay home.  The parade can be seen live on the Main Street Facebook page.  Libby Imbody, Main Street director, says merchants and restaurants have decorated and will have sales throughout the day.  At 4:45 pm Main Street will be closed for the duration of the parade.  The parade will roll on Main, from Church to Ann streets on the westbound side of Main.
