Low state educator to take reins at Seneca High

An assistant principal at Summerville High School will be the new principal at Seneca High School.  During last night’s meeting, Oconee school trustees approved the selection of Dylan Hudson to succeed the retiring Felicia LeRoy.  The choice of Hudson comes amid calls by members of Seneca’s African-American community to increase diversity and inclusion when it comes to minorities in the district’s workforce.  The district’s announcement lists the following accomplishments of Hudson:  a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of South Carolina; a Master’s in Administration and Supervision from Charleston Southern University, an Education Specialist Improvement degree from The Citadel.  He’s currently pursuing an Ed.D in Education System Improvement from Clemson.  He taught middle school four years before moving to administration.  Hudson and his wife, Jordan, expect their first child in June.
