Louise Harris

 

Westminster – Louise Fendley Harris, 97, of 1806 Oakway Road, wife of the late William Alvin Harris, passed away on Friday, December 24th, 2021 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

Louise was born in South Union Community, of Oconee County, and was the daughter of the late Robert E. Fendley and Essie Rholetter Fendley.  Louise attended Draughn Business College in Greenville.  Louise and her late husband, were the owners of the Credit Bureau of Oconee County for 63 years. She was an active member of South Union Baptist Church since 1938, where she was a Sunday School teacher of Jr. Boys and Sr. Ladies Sunday School Class, Vacational Bible School Teacher for 40 years, and the WMU director for 28 years.

 

Louise is survived by her son, John Robert Harris and wife Carolyn of Fair Play; daughters, Mary Harris Watkins of Westminster, and Susan Harris Head and husband Mike of Fair Play; seven grandchildren, Anna Harris Smith (Jamie), Will Harris (Brittany)Corey Watkins (Kristin), Roger Head (Heather), Kyle Watkins (Carrie), Elisabeth Head and Julia Watkins; thirteen great grandchildren, Mary Margaret Smith, Maddie Smith, Millie Smith, Emily Head, Waylon Head, Micheal Head, Saydee Head, Brooks Watkins, Carly Watkins, Dayton Watkins, Harrison Watkins, Eli Harris, Jeremiah Robert Harris, and Larkin Harris.

 

Louise is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Henry, Joe, Furman, Raymond, Dan, Otto, and William Fendley; sisters, Lala Dyar, Margie Price and Veda Isbell; and a granddaughter, Alisha Head.

 

A funeral service will be held, 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 28th, 2021, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at South Union Baptist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends 10:00 am – 11:00am, Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home prior to the service.
