Lines flushed to rid “dark” water

Walhalla water crews were hopeful yesterday that they had worked their way through the problem that, for some Main Street customers, caused dingy tap water. The water department, according to utilities superintendent Scott Parris, was not made aware of a test performed on the fire protection system that is believed to have caused the trouble.  Parris said, “We have worked to flush the system thru the day to correct the problem.”  101.7/WGOG NEWS received a call from the husband of a woman who had attempted to do a load of laundry.
