Limited fans to be allowed for high school winter sports

Los Angeles Lakers will start their new season without allowing fans at their arena, at least for the start of the season.  But, if you want to watch a basketball game or a wrestling match at any of Oconee’s three high schools, you will be able to do that in limited numbers only.  Here’s what Steve Hanvey, associate superintendent, is saying about fans at indoor local sporting events:  “We are currently planning to allow limited access to winter sports.  We will be at 25% or less capacity depending on the facility and the ability to keep people socially distanced.  Masks will be required to enter and while at the event.”  Oconee high school basketball teams may start pre-season games Friday, November 20; the official opening night of the season is Friday, November 27.  Wrestling teams may start matches Monday, December 14.
