Lewis Jaynes

Westminster- Lewis Jaynes, 72, of West Oak Hwy, husband of Loretta Hopkins Jaynes, passed away May 12th, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Born in Toccoa, GA, he was the son of the late Jack and Lucille Fowler Jaynes. Lewis worked for 18 years with the Southern Norfolk Railroad and later worked for 16 years with Itron and was the former co-owner of Water’s Café.

 

In addition to his wife Loretta Hopkins Jaynes, of 39 years, Lewis is survived by his brothers, Pete Jaynes and wife Blinda of Toccoa, Georgia, Ed Jaynes of Lavonia, Georgia, Leroy Jaynes and wife Claudine of Toccoa, Georgia; and a sister, Sally Singleton of Toccoa, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, Lewis is preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Jaynes, Billy Jaynes, Cecil Jaynes; sisters, Eileen Tannery and Christine Davis.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 1 pm, Friday, May 14th, 2021, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, 12:00pm- 1:00pm. Friday, May 14th, 2021 prior to the service.
