Lawmaker gauges the public’s view on mask wearing

A state lawmaker says from what he’s hearing from the public, Oconee County residents are nearly divided on whether there ought to be a rule that requires school children to wear facial coverings.  And, says Rep. Bill Whitmire, from the emails he gets every day, it’s running 60-40 against a mask mandate.  And to him, it’s clear, Oconeeans want to have the choice.
