Larry Marcengill

Seneca – Larry C. Marcengill, 76, passed away, Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at Prisma Cottingham Hospice House after an extended illness.     

 

Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Larry was the son of the late Walter Newton “Bub” Marcengill and Annie Roach Marcengill. Larry was a United States Army Veteran having served two combat tours during Vietnam War, a retiree from Duke Power having worked 35 years in quality assurance department. Larry had a great passion for working in his yard, playing golf with his buddies, fishing, was an avid Clemson football fan and was known by many as being a jokester.

 

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Crowe Marcengill of 23 years of marriage; his daughter, Ami Baker (Randy) of Westminster; a son, Adam Marcengill (Sarina) of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren, Ashlee Larramore, Sam Baker (Morgan), Andrea Marecngill, Logan Marcengill, Ben Baker, Parker Marcengill; and two great grandchildren, MJ Baker and Ella Baker. He is also survived by his fur baby and best friend, Zoie.

 

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Knight Marcengill and Bobby Marcengill; and his sisters, Noba Marcengill, Helen Honea and Susan Marcengill.

 

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 18th, 2023, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the services 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.  

 

The family is at the residence.
