Larry Evans

 

Westminster – Larry Neal Evans, 80, husband of the late Etta Olbon Evans, passed away on Tuesday, February 20^th, 2024 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

Born December 17^th, 1943, in Anderson, South Carolina, Larry was the son of the late Hoyt Luther and Georgia Jackson Evans.  Larry was a United States, Navy, Veteran having served during Vietnam Era, a retired mechanic with Jacob Chucks, and was previously a police officer with Virginia Beach and Anderson City. Larry was a member of Earles Grove Baptist Church.

 

Larry is survived by his son, Dustin Neil Evans of Westminster; sisters, Barbara E. Wood (the late Stan H. Sr), Rebecca E. Woodruff (Billy L.); brother in law, Carl Ray McKinley.

 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a brother, Luther Jackson Evans and a sister, Martha “Micki” E. McKinley.

 

A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27^nd, 2024, at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Memorial Cemetery, with full military honors.
