Larry Dyar

Westminster – Larry Earl Dyar, 79, husband of the late Dorothy Pauline King Dyar, was born on July 27^th, 1944 and reborn December 6^th, 2023, when he joined his Lord and Savior.

 

Was born July 27^th, 1944 in Westminster, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Earle Mac and Mildred Lorene Ertzberger Dyar. Larry worked in furniture sales at Kimbrell’s, was the manager of the Hartwell Store for 25 years and later retired at the Seneca location. Larry was a Deputy with the Oconee County Sheriff Department, a chaplain with the Pickens County Detention Center, a pastor at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Seneca and was the lead singer of the Saved By Grace Ministry.

 

In addition to his parents, and his wife, Larry is survived by sons, Larry Keith Dyar (Reba Joy) of Westminster, Andrew Earl Dyar (Taylor Nicole) of Westminster; daughter, Donna Dyar Bryson of Westminster; a sister, Lynda King (Kenneth) of Westminster; granddaughters, Brittany Marie Grant, Amber Lynn Baty (Richard); nephew, Clay King of Westminster; great nephews and nieces, Noah King (Keslin), Gabryella King, Catlin Webb, Dakota King, Waylon King, Landyn Phillips, Lilly King, Stella King, and Daisey King.

 

In addition to his parents and wife, Larry is preceded in death by daughters, Dorothy Lorene Dyar Grant and Melissa Renee Dyar Brown; and son-in-law, Gregory Vester Bryson, great nephew, Avery King.

 

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held 7:00 pm, Monday, December 11^th, 2023 at Sandifer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home on Monday, December 11^th, 2023 from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.
