LARRY BUSHA

Larry Bruce Busha (Buck), of Westminster, SC was born on December 6th, 1947, and passed away on March 7th, 2024 at the age of 76.  The legacy of his lifelong passion was helping others and riding motorcycles, continues to ripple through Upstate SC and beyond.

 

In his younger days, Larry had a passion for baseball and teaching youngsters the game. Later he joined the Navy and traveled the world gaining experiences aboard the USS Hull (DD-945).

 

Buck loved motorcycles, particularly Antique Harley-Davidsons. He was an ambassador of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America; and a lifetime member of the Dixie Chapter of the AMCA, AMA, and the National AMCA. He loved building, riding, and repairing these classic rides while sharing his learnings with other motorcycle enthusiasts. His knowledge of vintage Harleys has been recognized in popular motorcycle publications and throughout the motorcycle community. He has had tremendous influence in mentoring many friends and family members in their motorcycle endeavors.

 

Although he was a very private person, he deeply cared for those around him and left a positive impact on everyone he was in contact with. He also had a passion for classical, big band, and bluegrass music. Larry enjoyed collecting artwork, especially from local artists.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Dora Busha.

 

The Celebration of Life event for Larry Bruce “Buck” Busha will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, @ 2 pm at the Westminster Depot.
