Lake watchdog group touts new scholarship

“FOLKS”–Friends of Lake Keowee–sees the potential that in the counties bordering Lake Keowee there’s the potential for “Community Scientists” among high school students.  Mike White, chairman of “FOLKS”, is getting the word out to high school students in Oconee and Pickens counties, their parents, and the high school counselors about the availability of the Jack Lewis Watershed Stewardship Scholarship.  It’s to be a scholarship valued at $2,500.  Details can be heard today on 101.7/WGOG NEWS and on this Sunday’s ‘Community Sound Off’.
