Labor Day weekend COVID numbers in South Carolina

In the last five days of reports, South Carolina DHEC reports test positivity percentages statewide as ranging from a low of 10.8% on Saturday to a high of 12.6% on Sunday.  That’s based on thousands of new test results processed by the state health agency.  Here are additions to the death toll:  31 deaths reported Wednesday; 26 deaths, Thursday; 53 deaths, Friday (including two Oconee County residents); 47 deaths Saturday; and 23 deaths Sunday.  New confirmed cases went from the 4,000’s Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to the 3,000’s on Saturday and Sunday.  New Oconee County cases were 118 Wednesday; 90 Thursday; 123 Friday; 48 Saturday; and 48 Sunday.
