KOYO Bearings officially opens addition

So many bearings and other products are being made these days at JTEKT North America’s plant at Walhalla that the company has created 173,000 additional square feet for inventory before the products are moved out the door to its automotive customers. Anthony Perdrix, plant manager, cut a ribbon this morning officially opening the addition, in front of a crowd that included plant employees and leaders of the community. Perdrix commended the current workforce of 641 employees for creating the climate to make the expansion possible. Special guests at the ribbon-cutting included JTEKT North America executives Mr. Yamaka and Mike Davidson. Kelli Boone, human resources director, says this expansion will create 56 jobs and bring new equipment to the Koyo floor.
