Key COVID-19 numbers jump in South Carolina (and locally)

Numbers that track the COVID-19 spread in South Carolina have risen from one day to the next–from yesterday to today.  On today’s report, there are 3,559 new cases; deaths went up from 15 to 49.  The 49 include one elderly Oconeean who died Friday, December 18.  New Oconee cases reported today numbered 65.  Total test results received by the state health agency were 16,330; positivity, 22%.
