“Kenny didn’t read it”–his attorney says

In the estimation of Larry Brandt, defense attorney for Kenny Johns, the state Supreme Court order is a “death shot” for Johns’ future in the office of Oconee Probate Judge, though Brandt says he’d like to see his client be able to resurrect his career and return to head the county’s probate court.  However, Johns is now on an 18-month suspension without pay that will carry past what’s left of his term.  The document that Johns signed which the state justices found violated judicial ethics is something that Brandt says his client did not read.  He put trust in the person who submitted it to him.  101.7/WGOG NEWS’ interview with Brandt is airing today.
