JULIA LEE
Mountain Rest- Julia Elizabeth Lee, 69, wife of Robert “General” Edward Lee, passed away Sunday, March 17th, 2024 at her residence.
Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Julia was the daughter of the late James “Buck” Lawrence and Ora Ellen Watts Blakely. Julia was a homemaker and a caregiver to many children whom she often referred to as her own. She was a member of Open Arms Tabernacle. Julia enjoyed reading and spending time with her family but most of all she loved her grandbabies.
Julia is survived by her loving husband, Robert; daughters, Amber McDonald (Ernie), and Rosalyn McCall; son, Joseph Lee (Carrie); brothers, Earl Blakely (Bonnie), and David Blakely (the late Gail); sisters, Mary Bentley (Roger), Nancy Shatley (Perry); sister-in-law, Gloria Blakely; grandchildren, Vanessa McCall, Jenna McCall, Nova McCall, Caiden Brooks, Daniel McCall, Addison Lee, Brice Lee, Gunnar McDonald, and Robert McDonald.
In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Blakely.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 22, 2024, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Mountain Rest Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service.
