JOHN WYATT LITTLE, SR.

Seneca, SC– John Wyatt Little, Sr., 87, husband of 58 years of Toni Lawson Little, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Cottingham Hospice House.

 

Mr. Little was the son of the late Barney Hugh and Ruth Stanley Little. After graduating with a degree in Forestry from the University of Georgia, he was employed by The State Forestry Commission in Oconee County. He became a Consulting Forester after his retirement from the state. John was an avid fisherman, hunter, tennis player, a huge Bulldog fan, and loved anything outdoors. He had many friends that he made over the years and had the gift of talking and sharing his life stories. John was part of a five-man crew that was instrumental in starting several county parks in Oconee County, including South Cove, High Falls, and Chau Ram.

 

In addition to his wife, Mr. Little is survived by his sons: John Wyatt Little, Jr. of Georgia and Carsyn Wyatt Little of the home; daughter: Michele Little of Seneca, SC and Nashville, TN; granddaughter: Alexandra Little; and great-grandson: Elijah Peters.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Little was preceded in death by his brothers: Barney Hugh Little, Jr. and William Stanley Little; and grandson: Andrew Wyatt Little.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family is at their respective homes. Davenport Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
