JOHN THOMAS HANSEN
Walhalla, SC– John Thomas Hansen, 67, of Walhalla, passed away on August 16, 2022, from complications due to cancer.
Born on November 17th, 1954, in Indiana to Raymond Joseph Hansen and Edith Anne Peck, John was raised in Ohio before relocating to South Carolina. He worked his entire career as a tool maker and was an avid fisherman. He was a proud father to three boys and grandfather to five grandchildren.
John is survived by his partner: Teresa Smith; his sons and their spouses: Brent and Kohan Hansen, Evan and Missy Hansen, and John Thomas II and Emily Hansen; as well as his grandchildren: Annabelle Hansen, Parker Hansen, Mason Hansen, and Zoe Hansen. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings: Joseph Hansen, Robert Hansen, David Hansen, William Hansen, Paul Hansen, Jim Hansen, and Anne Marie Ducceschi.
John was preceded by his first wife: Deborah Lynn Thorpe; his mother: Edith Anne Peck; his granddaughter: Abigail Elaine Hansen; and his father: Raymond Joseph Hansen.
John’s family, whose mourning is accompanied by the hope of resurrection, will hold a private memorial gathering. They will miss him greatly and appreciate your prayers.
