Joan Russell Kuemmerer
Walhalla, SC — Joan Russell Kuemmerer, 88, wife of the late Fred M. Kuemmerer, of Walhalla, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Seneca Health and Rehab.
A native of Anderson County, SC, Mrs. Kuemmerer was the daughter of the late D.C. and Florrie Russell. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Kuemmerer is survived by her son: Joseph M. Kuemmerer (Sherry) of Walhalla, SC; daughter: Roberta Lynne Bailey (Philip) of Whitesburg, GA; and sisters: Laura Murdock and Rose Shirley.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kuemmerer was preceded in death by her brother: William Rudolph “Buddy” Russell; sisters: Hazel Powell, Rebecca Rogers Hill, and Eugenia C. Russell; and a grandson: David Orr.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the physicians and staff at Oconee Memorial Hospital, Manna Post Acute in Pickens, Cannon Hospital, Seneca Health and Rehab, and Dr. Edward Booker and his staff at Golden Corner Family Practice for the excellent care provided to their mother.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Walhalla, SC.
