Jim Spencer

 

Salem – James “Jim” Edward Spencer, 83, husband of Connie Anderson Spencer, passed away Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at Clemson Downs.

 

Born in East Lansing, Michigan, he was the son of the late Dr. Perry C. and Gladys Wolf Spencer. Jim’s career included being a Professor at Community Colleges in Michigan, Minnesota, Kentucky, Wyoming, and South Carolina, working as a commercial and residential real estate agent, a Series 7 broker, a technical writer and an over the road truck driver. Jim was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, and an avid fisherman and aviator.

 

Survivors, in addition to his wife include two sons, Peter Spencer (Christina) and Chris Spencer; four daughters, Leigh Blankenship (Pat), Tiffany Wolff (Andy), Alison Peterson (Brett) and Elizabeth Sokolowski (Kris).  James also is survived by eight grandchildren; Jordan Mahon (Logan), Daphne Spencer, Chloe Spencer, Holden Wolff, Avery Wolff, Braden Sokolowski, Ford Peterson and Jones Peterson. He is also survived by three great granddaughters and his brother-in-law Jack Leary.

 

In addition to his parents, Jim was pre deceased by his sister, Patricia “Patty” Leary.

 

A Memorial Service for Jim will be held at a later date.
