Jere Jackson
Walhalla – Jere Andrew Jackson, 60, husband of Wanda White Jackson, passed away January 18th, 2023 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of Alice Walker Jackson and the late Donald Jackson. Jere was formerly employed with the Oconee County Rock Quarry, at West Point Stevens, and attended North Walhalla Church of God. Jere enjoyed singing, was a known jokester, loved animals, traveling and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Jere had a loving, passionate heart for God, family, and friends. He never met a stranger.
Jere is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda White Jackson of 30 years, brothers, Donnie Jackson, Paul Jackson (Jamie), Mark Jackson (Patty); sister, Sheri Crane; mother-in-law, Patsy White; sisters in law, Karen Owens (David), Vicki White, Lynn Marcengill (Paul); eight nephews and three nieces; and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Jere is preceded in death by his father; father-in-law, Blackie White; and one nephew, Brandon Crane.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Saturday, February 4th, at 2:00 pm at the North Walhalla Church of God.
