JEAN PRINCE
Westminster -Mary Jean Prince, 89, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at NHC of Anderson.
Born November 3rd, 1934 in Oconee County, South Carolina, Jean was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Minnie K. Boggs. Jean formerly worked with Jantzen and later she retired from Oconee County where she was a bus driver. Jean was a member of Westminster First Baptist Church where she enjoyed fellowshipping with others, an avid All-American Basketball Player, a huge basketball fan and she loved her kids and family.
Jean is survived by her children, Shan Prince (Beverly), Dana Prince (the late Mary Jean), Paula Prince (Ginger Sanders); sister, Edna Stansell (Truett); twin sister, Joye Snelgrove; 5 grandchildren, Julie Smith, Jamie Prince, Chris Parish, Stacey Fulbright, Morgan Chupp; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; special nephew, Jackie Knight (Beth); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her brother, Lecil Boggs; and sisters, Willie Ruth Chastain and Mildred Knight.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2023, at First Baptist Church with a private burial to follow.
