James Williams

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James “Jiffy Jim” Williams, who took his last breath on Monday, April 15. Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He leaves behind his loving wife, Kathy, his two daughters, Kelli Dodgens-Farr (Rick) of Easley, and Katie Taylor of Rock Hill, as well as his grandchildren Christin, Brooke, CJ, Scotty, Jack, and Eleanore. He also leaves behind a special niece, Babs Robinson (Rob) of Atlanta, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends who he considered to be family.

Jim was known for his love of music and his incredible talent as a guitar player. He had a magnetic personality and always knew how to command attention in any room he entered. He had a gift for making people laugh and turning a bad day into a good one. Jim was the life of the party and the jokester in every environment, right up until his last hours on this earth.

He was predeceased by his parents, James R and Vesta Williams, and his beloved brother, Raymond Williams. While we will deeply miss him, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in his Heavenly home with Jesus.

The family is currently working on the arrangements for a memorial service to honor Jim’s life, and will inform everyone as soon as they are complete. In the meantime, all family members are at their respective homes, surrounded by love and support.

Jim will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his kind heart, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He has left an indelible mark on all of our lives, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Jiffy Jim. Heaven has gained a true angel.
