James “JR” McCollum

Westminster – James Ronald “JR” McCollum, 81, husband of Valerie “Val” Ann Hodgkins M^cCollum, passed away on Wednesday, March 30^th, 2022 at Prisma Health – Cottingham Hospice House.

 

Born in Royston, Georgia, JR was the son of the late Raymond “Bert” H. M^cCollum and Rolvie Chitwood M^cCollum.  JR was retired from Georgia Power where he worked for 35 years.  Known for his love of golf, fishing, hunting, and nature, JR will be missed by all.

 

JR is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie M^cCollum; children, James “Todd” M^cCollum (Sheryl) of Anderson, Rhonda M^cCollum (Bruce Cox) of Dacula, GA, and Joe Raymond M^cCollum of Maidsville, WV; brother, Wayne M^cCollum (Carolyn) of Darien, GA; grandchildren, Mathew Brown, Luke Brown, and Rylee M^cCollum and 1 great-grandchild, Olivia Brown.

 

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 3^rd, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel.
