James Clyde Mosley Sr.

Salem — James Clyde Mosley, Sr., 77, husband of Joyce Thomas Mosley of 687 Jocassee Lake Road, Salem, passed away, Friday, April 24, 2020, at his residence.

A native of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Clessie Chapman Mosley. Mr. Mosley worked for Sloan Construction Company for many years as a road superintendent before being employed and retiring from Oconee County Roads and Bridges. He loved bluegrass music, playing his guitar, and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Mosley is survived by his children: Pam Mosley Towe (Dewayne), Bobby Mosley (Tabitha), Jimmy Mosley (Sonya), Benji Mosley (Amy), Susan Escritt (Aaron), Don Queen, and Ted Queen, all of Salem; a sister: Olene Baker of Pickens; seven grandchildren: Frankie Towe (Rebecca), Kyle Mosley, Seth Mosley, Hannah Mosley, Bill Lentile, Dillon Queen (Kaytlin), and Danielle Ungaro (Taylor); and five great-grandchildren: Blake, Olivia, Haven, Mallory, and Callie.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by a sister: Helen Lewis; and a granddaughter: Alyssa Burkett.

All services will be private.
