Jacquelyn “Jackie” Esther Graham Sluder

Seneca – Jacquelyn “Jackie” Esther Graham Sluder, 84, wife of the late Eldridge “Pete” Clinton Sluder, passed away on Thursday, August 19th, 2021 at Clemson Downs, after a long illness.

 

Jackie was born on a Sunday, “Easter Sunday” to the late Roy Graham Sr.  and Gladys Patterson Graham on March 28th, 1937, a tiny baby girl, who the Doctor said she wasn’t going to live, but she lived for 84 years strong. She was the owner and operator of Graham’s Beauty Salon, where she worked as a stylist and owner and never seemed to want to retire. She was loyal and dedicated to so many of her ladies, for the 55 plus years, because she loved what she did. Jackie was also a member of the Eastern Star, the Pilot Club and had a great joy working any way she could with people. She was a wonderful cook, her specialty was her cobblers, pies, biscuits, and macaroni and cheese. Her family enjoyed many, many special times around her beautiful large table in her lovely dining room. She was known as being an energetic woman who never met a stranger, she was a faithful member of Utica Baptist Church, where attended as long as her health permitted.

 

Jackie is survived by a son, Graham Sluder and wife Erin of Seneca; two grandchildren, Brett Graham Sluder of Seneca, and Bryn Erin Sluder and fiancé Jeffrey Willicut of Columbia; a sister, Joyce Burdette and husband David; and a special niece, Gina Graham Bielby and husband Steve.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Jackie was preceded in death by an infant twin son, Grant Sluder; brothers, Roy Graham Jr, and Theo Graham.

 

A funeral service will be held, 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 25th, 2021, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 prior to the service.
