J-Davis gets the job at the Oconee airport

A contractor in Oconee and Anderson, J-Davis Construction, gets the job for a $2.1 million project at the Oconee Regional Airport near Clemson. According to a notice posted at the county’s administrative complex on Pine Street, J-Davis will be responsible to expand the airport apron and re-locate part of the Mount Nebo Church Road. Airport officials see this work as necessary to keep pace with the increasing volume of air traffic at the small airport, but not everyone is enamored of what will be done. Mount Nebo Church Road resident Donnie Sears has been invited by Oconee County Council to address his complaint to a committee meeting next week.
