It’s not a groundwater leak, after all

Here is an update on a story posted earlier today.  According to Bob Faires of Seneca Light and Water, work crews determined today that the source of water emanating from beneath the 123 By-Pass near Short Street is not groundwater.  Rather, Faires says, earlier suspicions are now realized that the water is caused by a water line leak–the origin of which crews have been unable to pinpoint for several months.  A steel plate hole cover apparently will remain at least until a solution is found.  Faires told 101.7/WGOG NEWS his department is going to require some outside help for a fix to what’s wrong.
