Indications–municipal judge has sights on higher office

Indications are strong that Seneca’s municipal judge has his eyes on an elective office within the Oconee administrative complex at Walhalla, it has been learned by 101.7/WGOG NEWS in recent weeks.  It’s the office of Oconee County Probate Judge, and the interested prospective candidate is Danny Singleton, 23-year judge of the Seneca Municipal Court.  Singleton is the current president of the South Carolina Summary Courts Association.  The office of probate judge, until he was suspended yesterday, had been held by Kenny Johns.  Oconee voters will be asked to elect a probate judge in November next year, preceded by political party primary elections.
